The SnapTik is a free online tool for saving public TikTok videos, sounds and photos. It is operated by The SnapTik Team. For anything about this policy or your data, email contact@thesnaptik.app.

We keep collection to the minimum needed to run the site.

• Information you don't have to give us: you never create an account and we never ask for your name, phone number or TikTok password.
• Links you submit: the public TikTok link you paste, so we can find the files for it.
• Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, time of the request and error details. Every website receives this when your browser connects to it.
• Emails you send us: if you contact us, we get your email address and whatever you write.
• Cookies and similar technologies: small files and browser storage used for preferences, optional analytics and advertising. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

• To turn a public TikTok link into the video, audio or image files you asked for.
• To keep the site secure and working: rate-limiting bots, blocking abuse and fixing errors.
• To understand which tools people use, but only if you allow analytics.
• To show ads that keep the site free (see the advertising section below).
• To reply when you email us, and to handle copyright or legal requests.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't build user profiles of our own.

If data protection laws such as the GDPR apply to you, we rely on:

• Legitimate interests to deliver the files you request, secure the service and prevent abuse.
• Consent for optional analytics and for personalized advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time, and that doesn't affect anything done before.
• Legal obligations when we must keep or disclose information by law.

The SnapTik doesn't build a library of downloaded TikToks. Files are fetched from TikTok when you ask for them and passed through to your device. When a slideshow has to be turned into a video, a temporary working file is created and deleted after the job is done.

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Here is what that means for you:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and, in Europe, https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalized ads are shown. If you say no, you may still see non-personalized ads. If you click Allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools are used. We switch off Google signals and ad personalization for analytics. If you don't click Allow, analytics doesn't load at all. You can change your choice any time with the privacy button in the corner of the page, or opt out of Google Analytics everywhere with the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We only share information with service providers that help run the site, and only what they need:

• Hosting and security: our website runs on Cloudflare's network, which processes requests and helps block attacks.
• Media processing: a third-party provider that fetches and prepares the files for the public links you submit.
• Google: for advertising (AdSense) and, if you allow it, analytics.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers are covered by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

• Technical logs: only as long as needed for security, debugging and abuse prevention, then deleted or anonymized.
• Temporary media files: deleted once your download or slideshow job finishes.
• Emails: as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.
• Cookies and browser storage: see the lifetimes in our Cookie Policy.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. People in the EEA, UK and Switzerland can also complain to their local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't sell personal information for money. To opt out of personalized ads, use the Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info links above, or email us. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.

To make a request, email contact@thesnaptik.app. Because we don't have accounts, we may ask for details (such as the time you used the site) to find the data in question.

The SnapTik is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email contact@thesnaptik.app and we'll delete it.

The whole site runs over HTTPS, and access to our systems is limited. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect the little data we handle.

Our pages may link to other websites, including TikTok. We're not responsible for how those sites handle your data, so check their privacy policies.

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on the site.
