Question 1

How do I get the TikTok video link?

Accepted Answer

In the TikTok app, tap the Share arrow on the right side of the video and pick Copy link. On a computer, open the video and copy the address from the browser bar.

Question 2

Is The SnapTik free?

Accepted Answer

Yep. It's free and you don't need an account. A few ads keep the lights on, and we keep them away from the download button.

Question 3

Does it really remove the TikTok watermark?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The file you get is the version without the TikTok logo and username on top. If the creator added their own text or logo while editing, that's part of the picture itself, so it stays.

Question 4

Is The SnapTik the same as other SnapTik sites?

Accepted Answer

No. The SnapTik (thesnaptik.app) is our own independent site. We're not connected to other websites with SnapTik in their name, and we're not part of TikTok or ByteDance.

Question 5

Do I need an app or a TikTok login?

Accepted Answer

No and no. It all runs in your browser, and we never ask for your TikTok password, so your account isn't involved at all.

Question 6

Where do downloaded TikTok videos go?

Accepted Answer

Into your Downloads folder. On iPhone, Safari puts them in the Files app first: open the video there, tap Share, then Save Video to move it into Photos. On Android, they show up in Gallery or Google Photos after a moment.

Question 7

Is The SnapTik safe to use?

Accepted Answer

You don't install anything, you never log in to TikTok, and we don't keep the videos you download. The site shows ads to stay free. We'll never ask you to install an app or a browser extension, so if a pop-up asks for that, just close it.

Question 8

Is there a download limit?

Accepted Answer

No sign-up and no daily quota for normal use. If someone floods the site with automated requests, we slow them down so it stays fast for everyone else.

Question 9

Can I download private TikTok videos?

Accepted Answer

No. Only public videos work. Private, friends-only and deleted videos can't be opened by any public downloader, and we wouldn't want to get around someone's privacy settings anyway.

Question 10

Will the creator know I saved their video?

Accepted Answer

We fetch the public video without touching your account, so nothing is sent from us to the creator. If you plan to repost it, though, ask them first and give credit.

Question 11

What quality will I get?

Accepted Answer

The best one TikTok has for that video. Lots of TikToks are 1080p, many are 720p, and older ones can be lower. Nobody can make a video sharper than the original upload.

Question 12

Can I save the sound or the photos instead?

Accepted Answer

Sure. The sound often shows up right in the results, next to the video. For photo posts, the TikTok Photo Downloader saves every picture in full size.
