Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies The SnapTik (thesnaptik.app) uses, what they do and how you can control them. It works together with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Sites also use similar tools such as localStorage, which keeps small settings in your browser without sending them to a server. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.
Necessary and preference storage
These keep the site working and remember your choices. They don't track you across other websites.
- thesnaptik_theme (localStorage): remembers light or dark mode. Stays until you clear it.
- thesnaptik_consent (localStorage): remembers whether you allowed or declined analytics. Stays until you clear it.
- Security cookies from Cloudflare (for example __cf_bm): help tell real visitors from bots. They're short-lived, about 30 minutes.
Analytics cookies (only if you allow them)
If you click Allow analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits and see which tools are used:
- _ga: tells visits apart. Lasts up to 2 years.
- _ga_
: keeps the state of your current session. Lasts up to 2 years.
If you click Continue without analytics, or never choose, these cookies are not set.
Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies (for example __gads and __gpi on our site, and cookies on Google domains such as doubleclick.net) to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and, where allowed, show ads based on your interests.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalized ads are shown.
- Details on how Google uses cookies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies
How to control cookies
- On our site: use the privacy button in the corner of the page to change your analytics choice. In Europe, you can reopen the ad consent message to change your ad choices.
- Personalized ads: turn them off at https://www.google.com/settings/ads, https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/.
- Your browser: you can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. The download tools still work, but your theme and consent choices will be forgotten.
Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or change cookies, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
